Client: Private Funded
Project Type:
New Build
Project Date:
0

Project Brief:
Our client recognised that their existing premises the Evenhill Public House had the demand and perfect location to provide much needed cost effective accommodation within the Canterbury Area. The decision was made to carry out a green field development within the grounds of the existing public house. The design had to fit in within a strictly governed conservation area; therefore a design was submitted replicating a Kentish Barn which would blend in with the surrounding area.

Our Approach:
After successfully tendering and winning the contract, we arranged meetings with our client and their architects to discuss the construction brief and our approach to the project. During this meeting, various discussions were aired relating to the design and construction criteria, we eventually managed to pass on savings of over £50,000 to the client and agreed a development time of 130 days from start of project to the 1st clients booking their rooms. Ducron took total project management responsibility controlling all new service installations from the utilities companies, material approvals from the local planning council and direction of all the clients nominated sub-contractors.

Outcome:
The end result was a project completed within budget and on time. The total construction value was £750,000.00
